Leading the Gaian Revolution: Commonsense for Desperate Times Gaian Democracies: Redefining Globalisation & People-Power by Roy Madron & John Jopling
| From: www.sustainablelondon.org.uk/intro.htm The Sustainable London Trust (SLT) was formed to help create a vision of the future of London as a sustainable city. In June 1995 a forum entitled "Our City, Our World" illustrated the value of an holistic approach and led to the idea of publishing a manifesto to present an overall view of how London could become more sustainable. Volunteers from a wide range of organisations across London formed working groups on various subjects. Various drafts were circulated and commented on, and the final document was completed in October 1996. SLT invites further comments on these proposals and will initiate a discussion of them at a conference later this year, concentrating on the proposal for a London Citizens Forum. This could then be launched early in 1997.
